The Drupal community hosts several conferences throughout the year, commonly referred to as Drupalcon and Drupalcamp. The U.S. conference for 2010 was hosted in San Francisco. The European Dupalcon will be hosted in Copenhagen for 2010.
Drupalcon's are the biggest Drupal related events and draw thousands of attendees from all walks of life. They are great opportunities to meet others from around the world and share ideas and information.
They also contribute positively to the economy in the area they are hosted in because many attendees travel from all over the world for these special events.
The location for 2012 Drupalcon is still undecided, and Orlando, Florida, would be a great location for this event. You can help bring it to Orlando by voting. Right now, Orlando is not listed, but you can write it in at the bottom of the survey.
