Have you heard of Whizzywig?

Whizzywig is a WYSIWYG text editor module for drupal similar to the WYSIWYG module, CKEDITOR, and FCKEDITOR. It replaces the standard body text entry area for content on your drupal site with word-processor controls for easy formatting for your users.

A standard drupal installation does not include any text editors. Your users must either know HTML to format their text, or just stick with standard text entry without formatting.

You can install CKEDITOR, FCKEDITOR, or the WYSIWYG editor by downloading the modules, however then you also need to get the actual editor from www.ckeditor.com to actually install the editor. After that, if you want file uploads like images, you also need to get an Image Module like IMCE to upload and insert inline images.

You also must configure each module and set the text areas that you want them to appear on. This process could take an hour after you locate the minimum of two modules, download the CKEDITOR, upload it to a folder on your site, and then configure it.

Whizzywig includes everything you need inside the module. All you have to do is download the module, install it like any other module, and then do some basic configuration. It offers clean and simple controls that are operating system native which helps preserve the look and feel for your users. It also includes an image upload that is a bit less confusing than IMCE.

I also found it to be fast and responsive, offering seamless integration and minimal disruption for the user.
